You can plan the best tours from here: by car, motorbike or mountain bike. Via Seiffen to the Fichtelberg mountain and Oberwiesenthal, in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains to the Bastei rock formation, to the Wine Route on the Elbe and to Dresden. A fantastic hiking area around the Talblick also attracts hikers to the Ore Mountains. A highlight of the region is the 8,000 blockline. A total of fourteen mountains over 800 m high, in other words more than 8,000 decimetres, are connected by a splendidly constructed mountain bike route. They have a good sense of humour in the region and are proud of their eight-thousanders. If you’re really fit, you can do all fourteen mountains in one day! The food and drink on offer comes from the region, naturally.
